- Election was held in 2 phases for 21,871 seats. 50% of wards are reserved for Women

- 6 Municipal Corporation viz., Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kollam, Thrissur, Kannur
- 86 Municipalities, 14 District Panchayats, 152 Block Panchayat, 941 Gram Panchayats (Village)

- Trivandrum, Kollam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur, Wayanad, Kasargod Districts went to poll on November 2nd

- Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Palakkad District went to poll on Nov 5th

In Tiruvannamalai, 2668 feet high mountain is worshiped as Lord Shiva Linga. Maha Deepam will be lit at the top of mountain at around 6 pm using 3500 kgs of Ghee. Lord Shiva will bless the devotees in Sri Arthanareeswarar Form.

Lakhs of devotees will throng the city on Karthigai Deepam. Many devotees will perform girivalam (circumbulate the mountain) on this day.
