- India today signed treaty with France to purchase 36 Rafale Fighter Jets
- Cost of deal: Rs.60,000 Crores (7.8 billion Euros)

-- Free training for 9 personnel including 3 Pilots which would have cost Rs. 750 crores (100 million Euros)
-- Free weapons storage in France for 6 months
- Modi Govt managed to bring down the cost of deal from 12 Billion Euros to 7.8 billion Euros
- First set delivery will be done in 36 months (3 years) and entire fleet will be delivered within 5.5 years
Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar in an interview to media said "This is the first deal for procurement of fighter jets signed in 20 years, which is unique in itself"
